Enneagram Type 8’s are powerful people, and they use their power to be in charge; to have the control that they need in their lives. True to their name, they enjoy taking on challenges for the benefit of their personal growth.

Being called The Challenger can give an impression of being aggressive and intimidating but for the Enneagram Type 8, the real challenge is maintaining that power and avoiding being seen as vulnerable.

We call the Enneagram Type 6: The Loyalists because when they believe in something or someone they will stand up for it (or them) no matter what the cost. They are loyal to a fault, and will never think of leaving an idea or a man behind. When all things fall apart, expect the Enneagram Type 6 to be there to give support all the way to the end. Type 6’s loyalty doesn’t just apply to people — it also applies to established systems and beliefs.

The Enneagram Type 1’s are responsible and trustworthy. They are meticulous workers and love doing tasks systematically with great excellence in mind. Rules, order, and consistency are very important for the Type 1 and they will do their best to follow rules by heart.  

The Enneagram Type 7 is an inspiration to living life to the fullest! Enneagram Type 7’s are curious and optimistic people. They are easily fascinated with a wide range of concepts and would prefer to discover them all – not stick to just one concept. Limiting themselves is not an option for The Enthusiast — they are always open for the different possibilities of life.

The Enneagram Type 5’s are The Investigators and, true to their name, the Type 5’s are invested in gaining deeper knowledge and cultivating intellectual understanding. They love looking into the inner workings of everything from the most minuscule of things to the mysteries of the Universe. They enjoy asking questions, going deeper and gathering all the information that they can get. In finding the truth, precision is key for the Enneagram Type 5.

The Enneagram Type Two’s are innate nurturers. They are naturally caring towards others which makes them deeply involved with other people’s hopes, dreams, and needs. Their deep desire to have a connection with others makes it easy for Type 2’s to strike up conversations and have a connection with almost everyone they meet.

Enneagram Type 3’s feel most alive when they get things done. They are centered on achieving great things — and they are happy to inform those around them of their successes. People are naturally drawn to Type Three’s because of the confidence that they have in themselves and their passion for bringing out their utmost potentials.

The uniqueness of the Individualist stems from that unending process of self-realization, of contemplating who they are, what’s inside. Their complexities are often so rich that they feel that others could never understand them, and thus, these feelings can trigger loneliness even with company.

As peacemakers, Enneagram type 9’s desire to have a deep connection with others and the Universe. Typically, type 9’s are easy to get along with and would choose not to create sudden changes when they are already comfortable which makes it easier for people to feel comfortable and safe around Nines.

The Enneagram allows us to perceive the world from a different point of view, to become aware of not just ourselves but also of others, have deeper connections devoid of conflicts, and full of interconnected growth and love for each other.

We’ve all had that experience of being angry or sad, and not even fully understanding WHY that situation upset us.
